ib vogt, a leading international solar developer, officially broke ground on its latest large-scale solar PV project, the 99 MWp Tantangan Solar Power Plant, during a ceremonial event held on August 6, 2025, in South Cotabato.

The groundbreaking marks an important milestone toward delivering one of Mindanao’s most impactful clean energy projects, backed by PHP 4.49 billion (USD 80 million) in green financing from HSBC. It is the first initiative to benefit from the joint Development and Construction Facility established by British International Investment (BII) and Pentagreen Capital (Pentagreen), including mezzanine financing, reflecting strong confidence in the project’s potential. When completed in 2026, the plant is expected to generate over 150 GWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power more than 82,000 households, while offsetting over 66,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year.
